Date of death valuations
There are many situations where you might need a real estate appraisal that states an opinion of what the property was worth retrospectively or as of a date some time in the past.
For estate tax purposes or disposition of the assets of a decedent, a "date of death" valuation or retrospective appraisal is often required. (Sometimes, the executor of the estate may choose to have the date be six months after the date of death -- but the same principles apply.) Attorneys, accountants, executors and others rely on the Certified Appraisal Group, LLC for their "date of death" valuations throughout the Northern Virginia Market. Our clients require an experienced professional and a firm that's been in the local area and knows Northern Virginia real estate. Our clients consistantly recieve accurate market data, appraisal results and superior customer service. For retrospective appraisals or date-of-death appraisals you need an experienced Certified Real Estate Appraiser that is bound by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) for a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism and an appraiser that will deliver the kind of quality appraisal report that taxing authorities and courts need and expect.
